That's an argument that probably shoud be floored.

Maybe we'll poll all of the former mods/once banned members and get their opinions before we make a final ruling, though.

I thought the thread was damned funny.....if you're not so uptight you couldn't pull a greasy string out your ass.....lol.
Maybe you should just disappear or just get your head out of your arse, it's been there for a long time and is beginning to smell.
BTW, I thought you blocked me. I see reading my responses right after I post them most every time. Your a fake dude.Seems you have issues with a lot of others on here also. Want to take it to e-mail?
Just remember you threw the first dart.
Aww, that's so cute......
Buncha friggin women.

I agree that the quality of posts have been steadily declining.I can't really say over what time frame though,I would guess over several months. There is a lot less discussion about hunting techniques and more and more about fluff or stuff that is kind of stupid.Every one has a right to their opinion and I am expressing mine.
I used to get on this site and spend significantly more time on it than I do now. There were a lot more posts that were deeper relating to the practical application of hunting techniques and responding to experiences that people were having while out there pursuing game.
There is a noticeable absence of some of the hunters who always had a lot to offer with their thought provoking posts.Certainly there still are some but not nearly as many.
I definitely see Quick's point on this.I will take some initiative and try to create some post's that are thought provoking or interesting,at least to me and hopefully to others.

I know the posts are often the same and stupid, but they might not be to the one who posted them. I for one can never find anything searching topics. Just read the posts you're interested in!

I agree 100% Scot.

It's not just the repetition, but the lack of quality, effort, thought and information. Some of this stuff reads like it's coming off the pen of a second grader. It doesn't have to be that way. For a long time, it wasn't that way, IMHO.

Seriously, it's not that hard to spend a few minutes and look up a few things, check your sources, and verify everything that you're saying, before you say it. Be a little original. Be witty. Be sarcastic. That's what makes for good reading.

I like to think of us as stewards of the environment, and that extends far beyond deer hunting. We are supposedly the face of the outdoor community, but I don't think we're necessarily holding up our end of the bargain. In the big picture, I think a lot of us need to start bringing a little bit more to the table, that's all - and that statement, again, is not relegated strictly to deer hunting. It goes far beyond that.

There's a lot more to being a well-rounded outdoorsman than scrapes and funnels. I think we all need to put on the camo pants and walk down that road.

Does anyone out there use Rage mechanical broadheads ? If I shoot a deer in the azz with a rage will it die faster than a deer I shot thru the heart with a dull field point?
What if i sharpen the field point, will that help.
Man law I will post a picture of my new Blowteck when mom gets home with her camera phone ,what u think.[:-]
Will a whisker bucket cause my cousins bow shoot over a buck when I'm on the ground and he's in aclimber.
I don't think baiting should bee legal when xbow hunting is just not fare.

While I do agree with The King's assessment of the "average" hunter's spit-chewing, loud-truck-driving, cutoff-tshirt-wearing stereotype I really don't think the quality of posts are declining. It's the off season and this happens every year. It's been 6 months since any of us were in the woods chasing deer around and we've run out of things to discuss. How many times can we cover the same topics and maintain this imaginary "high standard of quality"? And don't tell me that another thread about hunting funnels and travel routes between doe bedding areas during the rut is some sort of revolutionary new hunting tactic that nobody has ever thought of before.

And let's be honest with ourselves - not everyone here is some great deer hunter that's going to teach us things we didn't already know and open our eyes to a new world of deer hunting. There may be a few good pointers, tips, or stories that help us along our journey butdeep down inside most of us know what we need to do in order to kill the quality of animal we want.It just boils down to your dedication and willingness to do the right things in order to achieve those goals.

I take any message board for what it is - entertainment, a place to meet some new people, pick up some tips along the way, and share our stories. Nothing more, and sometimes nothing less.
