Default RE: Prejudice - Version 2.0

While I do agree with The King's assessment of the "average" hunter's spit-chewing, loud-truck-driving, cutoff-tshirt-wearing stereotype I really don't think the quality of posts are declining. It's the off season and this happens every year. It's been 6 months since any of us were in the woods chasing deer around and we've run out of things to discuss. How many times can we cover the same topics and maintain this imaginary "high standard of quality"? And don't tell me that another thread about hunting funnels and travel routes between doe bedding areas during the rut is some sort of revolutionary new hunting tactic that nobody has ever thought of before.

And let's be honest with ourselves - not everyone here is some great deer hunter that's going to teach us things we didn't already know and open our eyes to a new world of deer hunting. There may be a few good pointers, tips, or stories that help us along our journey butdeep down inside most of us know what we need to do in order to kill the quality of animal we want.It just boils down to your dedication and willingness to do the right things in order to achieve those goals.

I take any message board for what it is - entertainment, a place to meet some new people, pick up some tips along the way, and share our stories. Nothing more, and sometimes nothing less.
