There was no category that I wanted to select.

While there are many useless posts appearing rather frequently, there are stillsome good ones showing up. It is not hard to weed through the BS and find the good ones. The sad part is that a lot of people seem to bypass the good, informative posts and keep the useless ones at the top. This causes the good posts to quickly disappear to the pages beyond.

Sometimes even "The King" is guilty of this! [:-]
EXACTLY Greg, and this thread is a CLASSIC example of what you're talking about!

The Kingshows signs of remaining a VERYstealthy adversary......and that demands respect.
Jeff, don't take this the wrong waybut, it doesn't surprise me that you think this "stealthy advesary' demands respect.A waste of time, yes, but this is almost fun.

The scouting.....and quick shutter release time, on the trail cams....has paid off in a big way. Shot opportunities abound....and your presence is yet to be detected.

It's like you're not even there......and the herd feeds, beneath you.

It's "perfect". Let's call it what it is.

EXACTLY. It seems whenever someone posts something that may require some thought or intellect to create a worthwhile response, it just gets brushed aside in favor of "What insert piece of equipment here is best?"
X3

For a moment, let's examine some of the most commonly revisited and hotly debated topics on this forum recently:
[ul][*]Rage broadheads and their merits and/or shortcomings[*]Location[*]Antler size vs. maturity[*]Nannywhacking young vs. old[*]QDM, to practice or not to practice?[/ul]
I know there are more, but let's look at these for a moment. Of these topics few have merit for learning the ways of the wary whitetail buck, the trophy bull elk, the mature boar bear, or the cagey longbeard. Yet they dominate the board and are rehashed in various forms over and over. Some of which actually ostricize some of the more knowledgable members that have a lot to offer the rookie and seasoned veteran alike.

Take the oft debated "Location" thread for example. All it serves to do is to justify the reason why some are not harvesting trophy class bucks. While you can't shoot what isn't there, there is no reason to beat this subject to death and it always turns into a debate of "if I lived in X state, I'd have a wall full of 150's too." My ass. Some of these guys could kill monster whitetails in Grand Central Station, yes they are that good. However, foolish pride leads some to argue with them and try to discredit them to the point where they don't post because it is not worth the trouble.

This seems to happen every few years on this board. It happened several years ago where there were several know-it-all members that pissed off some of the long-time great posters so bad that they simply left. I myself took about a 2 year hiatus only checking in to congratulate people on their successes.

It seems this is the path we are on again and that it is cyclic. Hopefully come fall the great posts will come up again and our brains will be filled with loads of useful gems to take to the woods with us. Or maybe we'll all be sitting in our stands pondering if Rage broadheads are good or bad.[&:]

While we are airing our gripes, everytime someone types" X2 " on here I want to puke. This is a hunting message board to discuss hunting topics. If " X2" is the best you can come up with, put down the newest copy of Buckmasters and pick up a dictionary. Seriously.

Early-In: You suffer from a bad case of "Post-Envy."

Deep down, you wish you were the King. You wonder why you're not. You wish you were a 2-time bowhunting world champion. You wish you were a Dark Horse. You read about TeamXX, but you never could break through the mystique. You'vetasted small-timevictory, but not on bowhunting's biggest stage. You see the views on his majesty's threads skyrocket, and it eats away at your soul. You wish people sent you cool PM's. It's starting to affect you at home. . . at work . . . etc...

Take a deep breath.

It's okay buddy. There can only be one Undisputed King. He is awesome. Get over it.

Well if you want to chime in your opinion and somebody else already said it, a X2 will just show your in the same boat as the aforementioned poster.

Not that big a deal really

If someone else already used my opinion, I let it go. It's ok to do that, unless you need 6K posts in 90 days.
