You need your deer permit and you also need a hunting license, and habit stamp, I buy them both once I know for a fact that I'm getting my deer permits.

Funny thing is, our governor was born and raised in Illinois, could it be something in soil?

what is the habbitat stamp for?
what is the habbitat stamp for?
But with what they charge for tags, you'd think that would be enough to cover it.

Yes, you can purchase both your hunting license and habit stamp either on-line and then just print it on your printer or get it once you get out there. Doesn't matter if your hunting private land or public land you still need it

You're not kidding that one hurts.........Probably not quite as bad for you guys who at least live within sight of IL.
Poor Greg lives closer to Illinois than I do to my main farm here and has to buy a non-resident license. LOL
But yeah.......$475 to hunt deer.
Greg reminded me last night that a nonresident Colorado combo Bull/Cow ELK tagisonly $25 more than that.
At the rate of my success vs. cost of hunting there I figure in a couple of years I could have just gone on a fully guided Pike Co. hunt. We sure do have fun though trying to figure it out and hunting together.
I think this is our year though, if we just keep doing everything right sooner or later...........
OUCH THAT HURT!!

Don't forget to include the cost of a Scentblocker suit and other gear too...[8D]
