RE: Black Ice not pulling its weight
ORIGINAL: Vabowman so what you guys are saying is that after the bow settles and everything stretches, it's good to have the poundage checked and make the adjustments to get it back to where you had it when you bought it? If you want to that is.. Dan |
RE: Black Ice not pulling its weight
so what is the initial settling period?? 6 months? 1 yr? 1.5 yr??

RE: Black Ice not pulling its weight
More like 50 shots with a quality string.

RE: Black Ice not pulling its weight
So Dan should I re check everything now, DL, weight poundage, screws etc... it's been shot at 50 times now if not more. probably upwards of 80-100 shots.

RE: Black Ice not pulling its weight
Thanks Dan, I mean the guy at the shop might look at me funny cuz I just bought the thing about 3 weeks ago, but it has at least 75 shots through it already.

RE: Black Ice not pulling its weight
50-100 shots is usually sufficient but I would rather shoot 200 - 300 beforeI did any twisting and tuning. That way you don't have to do it twice. Sometimes strings and or cables will still creep a little after 50 or so shots.
If you go out and shoot 24 arrows a day that's less than 2 weeks to get 300 shots. |
