When I tell you he was big, I have not seen a buck bigger on TV, in a DVD, on the computer or even Bris 214" canadian bruiser...

DropTine, now I understand why you asked "where's NJ?" on the list of great hunting locations in my earlier thread.

If you attempted to find a lane or get a shot - you didn't pass him up. You screwed up.
Oh..and I mean NO disrespect by saying this, but...

Dont EVER tell me or even assumethat I screwed up. Especially if you were not there. ILL let YOU know if I ever happen to screw up. Got it ?

End of story. Rispect given, respect expected, roger ?
Lighten up killer.... We all screw up something or another on a daily basis... You are no different than anyone else in that respect.

Sorry, but not being able to get off an ethical shot doesn't qualify as a "Pass." Hell,I'm sure we've allhad some awfully nice deercruise throughout of range, andcould've easily launched a Hail Mary at them...

But I don't go around pretending that I let them walk by out of my own volitional will.

If you attempted to find a lane or get a shot - you didn't pass him up. You screwed up. Big difference.
WOW!!!The King doesn't mince words, does he?

I passes on a 100" 8 point standing broadside at 10 yards not even knowing I was there! He looked VERY VERY similar to the big one I shot the year before so I left him go knowing I was after a bigger one and I had one just like him! Turned out I did not get a buck 2 years ago . I could of had a real nice buck for Pa. but I never even flinched when he walked in too me. I watch my nephew get busted by him and he was starring at him the whole time walking directly at me to stop 10 yards beside me and I never even thought of shooting him. My nephew still gives me hell, but last year when he (my nephew) had a 130" 8 point coming directly in to him and I via my rattling and grunting he was smiling!I'm sure it was the same deer. Needless to say another little buck came in also and he ran it off and my nephew never got the shot! I already had my little unicorn buck![:@]

I passed on the buck in my avatar photo when he was 3 1/2. He had a nice rack but he was too young. He probably would have scored 110". I shot him 2 years later and he scores around 138" I never had him officially scored. I pass deer that I don't think will make 130".

The largest bucks I've ever passed on were a 135 and a 136. It paid off as I got a 140 and a 147, respectively.
