I am going on a Spider Monkey hunt myself. Now you wanna talk about a moving target. Don't ever let 'em get your wind, or you might have to fist fight 'em or worse... dodge monkey poop. LOL

The giraffe was shot on a population control permit according to the PH on the show. They also boasted about how much meat the villagers would get from an animal that big.Soit was clearly not akillingjust to kill thing, as prettymuch NO legal animal taken falls intothat category.
Dan,
3! that is awesome. I'd put wolves up on the list of some of the coolest animals a hunter could get.

Its not something I would like to do, But does not bother me that someone else would. Nothing will go to waste.
Now I would shoot one of them Warthogs, for no other reason than they are some ugly little buggers.

Killing to kill means to simply go out and shoot something just to shoot it. Not to eat it, not help with population control, or because the animal is causing problems , example, wolves eating cattle, groundhogs eating beans.. etc. Shooting just to get ya kicks I guess you could say. Look, I knew people would get on me about and that's fine I can take it and I won't get angry i never do, you guys know me, I will say what I feel and take the criticism...just my opinion..

Actually, everything I said above is exactly the case for all African game, including for megasized high fenced areas. So, my question to you is why does a giraffe hold any difference in your opinion than does a Kudo for example?
Again...no need to get defensive with me, because I am genuinelyinterested as to what drives your opinion on it.

Aimlow, none taken bro, I just think it's silly to shoot a giraffe, not saying it shouldn't be done if that's what needs to be done, but out of all the animals in Africa, I just thought a giraffe was strange, never heard of anyone eating giraffe. Again, this is MY opinion and I do not expect or want anyone to agree with it, I posted my opinion to post my opinion, didn't care if people agree or not, no hard feelings or even upset a bit, everyone has their opinions, including me. I said the same thing about the elephants too, just seems like such a huge animal and I thought these animals were on an endagered list, honestly. I have no intentions of telling someone not shoot it, I just think it's pointless. Now, back to everyone bashing me ...
