Food Plot Time

Food Plot Time
Here is an aerial of the area where I killed my deer this year. We're getting ready to plant our food plot probably a mixture of alfalfa and biologic (or something similar). The fieldis somewhere around 12 acres and because we're neither rich nor rifle hunters, we're trying to find the best way to utilize our space. We're thinking about planting a strip that is about 60 yards wide around the area I've highlighted. This will also allow us to hunt the plot on several different wind directions.
Any thoughts or suggestions are welcomed.

RE: Food Plot Time
Suggestion: An addition to your food plots plant a tall growing grass like an indian grass in the outlined area next to the woodline, then plant your plot on the inner area. This should provide some added security for the big boys to get out to the food. You will also be able to find the route they are using to the center of the plot and set up off of it.
