Many hunting and arrow "experts" recommend 25-39 ft lbs for thin skinned game (deer, antelope, etc). A wide range probably due to the fact that even within the same species (like deer) does, bucks, and yearlings are very diifferent.

Great post by davidmil, I also prefer sharp coc broadheads(just my preference) and the most weight she can comfortably draw.

The only problem with lower poundage and K.E. is you have to be very disciplined at shot selection. Ranges should be shortened and big bone avoided at all cost.
I don't know, I think that is a pretty good rule of thumb for any set up......least that is what I subscribe to.

Talking to my wife, she is a bit reluctant about getting anything else besides what she is shooting right now.

So, gonna take it slow and see how well she does with her bow for the next couple months.

Then see where she is at in her commitment, and her draw weight, and maybe go out and take a look around at what is out there....
