RE: How high do you climb??

Anywhere from 8' to 25'. Depends on the set up and it depends on too if I'm bear or deer hunting. My bear stands are usuallly lower to the ground then my deer stands.

Anywhere from 15' (ladder stand) to about 20-25' for my climber. Sometimes higher (I really only have one particular tree that I go higher in).

I'm most of the time between 12 an 26 feet.

I would not go any higher then what would go beyond the limits of what my body is able to take from the fall. I do not go any higher the 20 feet. 18 feet is plenty of height that will not spook the deer.

Be safe.

Don't believe your body can absorb an 18' fall, because it might not. My Brother in Law fell 18' and broke his back,Terrible accident. I was the one who found him, and was there when he was Life Flighted out. If you don't believe in a safety harness that experience would have convinced you.
