Since racewayking started I figure i would add mine.....
Ok basically it is an easy way to pick up the stuff you drop from your treestand. If you happen to use the Hunters specialties scent wafers you will need the empty case when you use them all up. Fill the empty container up with something semi heavy(rocks,washers,etc..) or dont it will still work pretty good. You will also need to carry a role of electrical or two sided tape.(never go in the woods without it).. Now simply just wrap the electrical tape so the sticky side is facing out of course and tie to your bow rope and pick up all those things that always seem to fall from the tree!
Works great when you drop your glove or snuff can! Now of course it will not pick up your bag or heavy coat but it will do the trick with the little things!! For the heavy things like your bag or coat thats where a small bow hook comes in handy!!

Man, wish I had thought of that. I was up in Mercer Wisconsin a few years back and had just hiked 2 miles and climbed 25 feet into a big ole oak and ralized I dropped my Scentlock Facemask. I ended up using my bowrope and dragging an arrow with it until I snagged it only to watch it drop off of the broadhead several times until I finally got it.

At least I'm not the only one that drops there hunting gear/items after they climb way up a tree!

Here are a few tips if you drop anything to retrieve an item.....that has happened to me several times while Bow Hunting.
I dropped my small camo storage pouch with my grunt calls, scent cannisters, deer tags etc.....I was way up the tree already and was too tired to climb back down so I looped my velcro trigger release on my rope that I pull my Bow up with.....I dropped it on the camo bag until I hit the velcro strap on it and fished the bag up to me!
I have droppped my string release several times and my camo gloves so I looped the rope onto the camo bag that has velcro straps on it and dropped it onto the release to pull it up and onto my gloves that had the velcro ties/straps to pull them up to me in my stand.
