RE: FAST??
Because no two shooters or set ups are created equally in regards to draw weight, draw length, arrow weight, etc... I look at what a bow can actually get from a realIBO set up.
I consider 310 - 320 to be"fast". If it can do an honest320+.... that is "smokin". If it can do a real340+.... that is "on fire". |
RE: FAST??
ORIGINAL: idahoelkinstructor ORIGINAL: Vabowman anything over the 280's is very quick, but anything over 300 is cooking, that is with the right size arrow for hunting. |
RE: FAST??
A hunting set-up that is shooting at 280 is fast and one that is doing 290+ is really getin'er!!

RE: FAST??
My Marquis is shooting 269,270 right now. I could change some things to get it faster, but my old bow was at 236fps, so I feel I'm shooting a barn burner right now.:)

RE: FAST??
Fast or deadly?
I shoot about 241fps and have got a handful of deer. My buddy shot a 1982 Hoyt he bought used that shot 175fps, he has more deer than me! Speed's not the only thing that kills, but, yes it could help! ![]() |
