I wish I would have had this place when I started out 26 years ago. Would have taken the learning curve out a bit and had some more mounts on the wall.

So it is a good idea to mix the consumption of alcohol with the use of a weapon? Because it calms your nerves?
Who said I was joking?Yes I was being sarcastic, purposely so,I would never advocate the consumption of alcohol with the use of a weapon.
I am glad the man over came his target panic,I have had it and had a hell of a time conquering it. I am not sure why you felt the need to take a dig at me.When you choose to be sarcastic it is fine but when some one else does you pass judgement from on high?

ok no its not fosters its XXXX now thats a great beer

no i took lots of advice and actually tried some new ideas but the one that helped me the most was starting t oshoot with both eyes open it seemed everytime i tried to shoot as i normally would my focus was changeing from target to pins and back and forth and i would just lose it

so i started to draw the bow then do what i would normally doi but then open my left eye and take in the whole view it seemed to calm me down and i started to group again with no trigger snatch etc and as i said i completed one if my best rounds the other day it took awile but not as long as some where saying

maybe it will come back but i will just calm down and go through the motions again but shooting with both eyes open gives a whole new view and man can i pick the spot now

tsoc are you going to try and tell me that you never stopped on the way home from work with some friends for a beer thenproceeded to drive home or wentout to dinnerwith the wife and had cocktail and maybe a beer with dinner then drove home? I knew when Imade the post that someone would jump on the high horse. At 240 lbs. I don't think a beer is going to impair meor endanger anyone. I didn't say grab a 12 pack and the 9mm and lets have some fun. Lighten up!!

My comment was directed at David's criticism of my post.Like most every thing in life it is about balance and common sense. You hadaluded tothe idea that having a drink was a manner of calming yourself to help with target panic.I don't think that is a practical solution,do you?Do you want to convey that message to the young folks who visit this site? I don't have any beef with you personally and I don't believe you meant any harm by your comment.I stand by my comments though, there are some area's where we need to stand on our high horses.
