I tried it years ago when I actually counted on papertuning as a useful tool but it's kind of tough to read the hole when both the head and fletch are tearing the paper.
Shoot a group of field points then shoot a group of tuned broadheads (aligning fletch with blades does absolutely nothing by the way). If they aren't hitting in the same place make very small rest adjustments to move the broadhead group toward the field point group and repeat until the two groups impact the same point.

I generally do this in the following order:
1. Set the rest so the arrow center is 13/16" from the shelf and centered on the Berger hole. Set nocking point level or just a tad high.
2. Bare shaft tune to determine if the arrow and length is spined correctly. If not, subsequent steps can be an excercise in frustration.
3. Paper tune with field points. Adjust for perfect bullet hole - or a slightly high left tear.
4. Check groups with FP's and various broadheads. Do some tweaking of the rest and nocking point to attempt to get the two types of head to shoot the same spot. If not perfect, as close as possible. Do final sight in with broadheads right before hunting season.

This is the first year I have shot FP!! I have always shot BH year round. I just wanted to save a little $ on deer targets. I don't shoot copms so I never wanted to shoot anything but BH. Dan, is there any kind of clearance issue with the sight window and the slick tricks for the X Force??

so if I shoot my BH and they fly about an 1' or 2" off, do I need to make adjustments to the rest or just move the sight to fix it??
