RE: Would you be proud of this shot?

I just noticed something, why isnt it field dressed? Where is the tag?

Obviousy you don't know the game laws in NC. I don't have to tag it. I call mine in.

And.....he wasn't field dressed in this photo....because I like to take my harvest photos before I field dress them. See....

Don (others)....if it was "back".....what would I have hit, internally?
Which side of the body is the liver on? Isn't it the left?? In which case you would have missed that I believe....
No, he got the liver(it's on the right side), but just a little bit, that's why that blood looks pretty dark. I'm willing to bet he actually hit the pump station, judging from the info I've gathered, and I haven't read past this quoted post. But I see at the very bottom of the page, I was right.

Bawana.....6" forward of where I hit would have been a shoulder hit and an exit through the off-side shoulder or MORE likely.......the brisket. Nothing wrong with that if you make it through (I've done that, also). But I don't think that's "optimal".

I like the shot! ANd the deer is dead so yea Jeff good shot. Quartering away I would of put it in the same spot! I prefer 2 lungs over 1 lung and heart! I always aim a little high to take out both lungs! They cant go far when they cant breath!:D

Well I guess not. So where do you take your "harvest" photos, in the back yard?
