RE: Would you be proud of this shot?
I explained way back there the shot angle.

RE: Would you be proud of this shot?
Id say its a liver or maybe lung shot, maybe both lungs with the trajectory of the angle. But I'd guess that it would have missed its full potential.
regardless it resulted a positive means to recovering a deer within 50 yards..... or vitals all in tact and you hit an main artery |
RE: Would you be proud of this shot?
See it behind the lungs?

RE: Would you be proud of this shot?
If hes quartering away...i would say its a fine shot.....let me rephrase...an acceptable shot

RE: Would you be proud of this shot?
This shot resulted in a single lung and heart shot. I couldn't tell if the off-side lung had been hit ......but if so....it would have been the very bottom of that organ.
I shot this shot for 27yds.....and didn't know it was 33 until I stepped it off, later. I would have liked to have had it a bit higher.....but it worked out just fine. I would take this shot on EVERY deer I ever shoot in the future....even if it was broadside. Entrance was directly into the lung and would have been through the other on a broadside hit......especially if it had been up a bit higher (like I intended). |
RE: Would you be proud of this shot?
Huh.... well, I wouldn't have guessed you hit the heart... I guess I was mistaken on the trajectory.
