If I run into someone in the woods- andmy mouth opens up - any wordscoming out of it are about as reliable as weight loss advice from Rosie O'Donnell.

after reading most of the responses...

i have to laugh...i always felt a tad bit "bad" lying and denying...just because i know i dont own the deer and the land and im lying and denying trying to protect them for myself...even to "friends!" lol

but it seems we pretty much ALL do it...and all do it the same ways...

theres been days ive came out with a chit eatin grin cause i just caught a glimpse of a bruiser and think i had him figured out for a stranger to say "see any deer?"... "nope..used to see alot of deer around here but the last couple years i havent seen a tail and really no sign of them either!"

and like mobow..ive often totally lied...one year i told my buddy where i killed my spring gobbler...(which was a LIE trying to preserve my honey hole...) i was nice enough to tell him i killed it somewhere i KNEW had turkeys in it though...sure enough that chithead went to where i said i killed mine and killed one..same kid that wanted to come take stands down with me...HA!

i dont go huntin down other peoples spots...dont try hunting down mine! i would LOVE to gain a "bowhunting partner" someone who is serious like me and puts in the time and work to find good spots so we could work together in trimming, hanging stands, scouting, shed hunting, tracking, dragging etc...everything except hunt together, but combine hunting lands to give us both double the spots and coordinate when and were we both hunt so we arent over hunting or bumping shoulders....but i dont have a friend like that...maybe one day....

It depends on the person. If I like them, maybe I will tell, if I dont....I haven't seen much.

I hunt public ground and I've always beenhonest with others I've met in the field. The last year or two I've thought about keeping my mouth shut though.I've been extremely fortunate in my hunting area as far seeing lots of big bucks.None of the other people that I've talked to that hunt the same areaare seeing much at all. Now either I'm really lucky or just that good and they suck or they are lying. Maybe somewhere in between. Regardless, this yearI have decided to keep my mouth shut and maybe even drag out when no one is around. It will be hard because I enjoy talking about the events of the day with myfellow hunters.

Deny, Deny, Deny.

I tell no one "local" to me what I see except for my brother and one of my buddies....

I hunt all over the placeso if I tellanyone (except for the 2 I mentioned) what I saw I never tell what county or area I was in.

I have got boned quite a few times in the past and will not allow it to happen to me again by the "bloodsuckers".

Few does & a small forkie. If telling about a wider time frame(month)

Nothing, but squirrels, if just talking about that nights hunt.

I would include any neat non-deer sightings. Fox, yotes, etc.
