what is the legal age limit so you can hunt by yourself in your state?

It's 16 in PA.

16 alsobutI did since I was 9 behind the house in our woods and shot sparrows and blackbirds out at the farm sinceI was 7. Bowhunted behind the house by myself since I was 12. I grew up hunting so my parents trusted me to do whatever I wanted. Had my own duck hunting rig and hunting dog sinceI was 14 and from there everythign else under the sun. Gotta love the outdoors. I'm not sure there is an age limit in MO for bowhunting. At least when I was 11 there wasn't

I believe it's 16 in SD (before you can hunt without an adult)...

I'm old and my mom still doesn't want me to hunt by myself. (I hunt public land, I'm um, never by myself [:-])

Anyhow, no age limit in IL.... however..... you have to pass hunters education and if you have a gun or a bb gun (or a single piece of ammo) you also need to have a Firearms Owners ID card. (only fricken state to require such a stupid, worthless, violation of our constitutional rights molded into a piece of plastic.. ask me how I really feel) Oh, and they are trying to put a minimum age on that FOID card.

dang I wish there was no age limit here in Oregon!here it is 16 also.

To tell you the ruth I am not sure. I think it may be 16, but most people around here start hunting by themselves when they are old enough to hold the gun by themselves... I am thinking it may be 15 or 16..

12 in Manitoba witha a bow and if you want to shoot with a rifle12 but you have to take your firearms safety course.

Edit: You have to have your hunters safety before you can start hunting and you can only take it after you turn 12.
