I'm old and my mom still doesn't want me to hunt by myself. (I hunt public land, I'm um, never by myself [:-])

Anyhow, no age limit in IL.... however..... you have to pass hunters education and if you have a gun or a bb gun (or a single piece of ammo) you also need to have a Firearms Owners ID card. (only fricken state to require such a stupid, worthless, violation of our constitutional rights molded into a piece of plastic.. ask me how I really feel) Oh, and they are trying to put a minimum age on that FOID card.
