I have been archery hunting/shooting since I was 14, I am 33 years old now. Come next week, two weeks at the most I will have owned 8 personal bows.
1989 Golden Eagle Falcon (SOLD)
1991 Golden Eagle Formula 3-D (retired, sentimental)
1997 Martin Fury (SOLD)
2004 Mathews Conquest 3 (indoor target paper puncher)
2005 Mathew Switchback (main hunting bow)
2006 Mathews Switchback XT (hunting bow for blinds and treestands)
2007 Mathews Drenalin (huntng backup and target 3-D)
2008 Mathews Drenalin LD (target 3-D) (Comming Soon, Next week hopfully!)
In addition to these 8 I have also bought/owned 30 plus bowsfor the purpose of resale. I fix themand/or set themup with accessories.
From what I can remember off the top of my head, Bowtech, Darton, Stacy,Reflex, PSE, Hoyt, High Country, Martin,Fred Bear,XI, Browning,Clearwater, andof courseMathews. Some of these I made some dang good money on and others I didn't do much more than break even. I will admit you can get some good deals on ebay, in the local newspaper, thrifty nickle, and even in garage sales. Some hunters have a string, restor sightgo bad, then store it away to be forgotten for a time being. Then for whatever reason they deciede to sell it for a lot less than what its worth because they don't want to do a simple fix on it.
