for 300 bucks you could get uourself a pair of leupold wind river cascades...they are very good...they are the best that I have found for under 400...but if you were gonna buy all around hunting binoculars and looking for deer at distaces i would recommend a pair of swarovskis

I bought a set of Vortex last season and the optic's are great ,they work well in low light condition's and they are only a fraction in the cost of a set of high end like Zeiss,Swaro,or even Leopold. I have the Sidewinder's in 10X42
