Default Binoculars

I am looking to get a new pair of binoculars. I can spend in the 200 dollar range. Anyone have some good options for me? Thanks.

Leupold and Nikon both have good glasses in the $200-$250 range. I have the Leupold Wind River Cascades and I love them. I think they were $209 on sale.

I have a pair of Bushnell Legend 8 x 42 and find they are excellent for the price. They also come with the rainguard which is a good feature. I’ve used them for 2 years without any regrets.

At the $200 price point I would look at the Bushnell Excursion, Nikon Buckmaster 10x36 and Sporter I in either 8 or 10x36.

Don't forget to check out Sighton. Outdoor life rated the SII series a best buy at under 200 bucks (2003 gear review issue) Youc can look it up on the outdoor life website www.outdoorlife.com

I have a pair of the Bushnell Legends as well, but in the 8X32 glass, and after comparing these to some of the top end European models, I'm glad I went with the Bushnell Legends for $269.00 at Gander Mountain. They have many brands and price ranges at Gander mountain, be sure to check them out there first before buying.
