If you new the area held Monster would you slip in....Not when you were 16 and young and dumb....would you do it now if you felt it was low risk?
"Risk" has nothing to do with it.
If you do it, you are scum and a poacher - nothing else.
Would some of those who voted yes please tell why being a conditional poacher is ok with them?

I would ask for permission. If it was denied I would stay the hell out!

Been in that situation in Kentucky, and just watched the Big Boy walk away. It really hurt my feelings but part of hunting is ethics and respect for others property. I hate hearing the lame excuse from hunters that say "I didn't know where the boundries were" I say do your homework before going into the woods! Just my 2 cents worth.

NO I couldn't do it just because I would go BONKERS if I found some one on my land. I know my neighbors all fairley well and I would either ask or try and lure that BIg MOMBA-JAMBA in my direction.

Wouldn't even consider it.

Tresspassing is trespassing, no matter the reason. The consequenses will be the same regardless.

If you've ever been trespassed upon, you guys that would sneak onto the private would never do it. Trespassing is illegal, no matter what the circumstances are. Whoever the hell said "if the land was taken over for unreasonable reasons" is the reason why hunters get a bad name. What exactly is an unreasonable reason? The land is now private, end of story.

I am faced with situations similar to this all the time. I hunt such small parcels the butt up against neighbors that crossing over and not even knowing it is easy. I do have a couple of pieces that I know where the big boys bed but can't get there due to it being on another piece. I try to get permission, but I just can't bring myself to go over there without it. It's just not worth it.
