Thank Goodness The Drought Is Over!

Got up this morning to freezing rain which turned to snow very quickly. I went to check the dog's food and water and there was 2" of water in the food dish. The forecast is for 4 - 8" more of that white crap! We've had 77" of snow, 3" of rainand 1 1/2" of ice so far this winter. Who else has gotten hit this hard this year (other than Iowa)? In one winter, we have gotten over 2 years worth of precipitation. I can't wait for this to melt off (slowly I hope to prevent flooding) so I can do some shed hunting.

Minnesota has been lacking in the snow department this year (24" where I live I'm guessing) but the cold temps have reared there head to much this winter. I read on the news that Madison Wisconsin has 70+ inches already, thats a record for them as well. You can have it!!

If this is global warming, I think we need global cooling for a while to get rid of this stuff! With the snow we are now getting as a bonus mother earth is giving is winds sustained at 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. After spending 4 hours on the lane yesterday to get the packed snow out of there, I now cannot even see the lane! After I got finished yesterday, I had snow piled up 3' on each side of the lane. OK all you yankees, lets box all this stuff up and send it south of the Mason-Dixon line and watch them freak out!
