The reason I ask is because I go in different forums on here and someone (most times a newbie) will ask for an opinion on what equipment to purchase and the responses are typicallyfor him or her to get the highest priced item out there. Then I see someof the equipment (i.e. bows, camo, etc.) that some people hereuse is the highest stuff on the market. What gives? What profession are you all in and how do I get into it???And how can you afford some of these purchases with other things pending, i.e. mortgage, tuition etc. Do you save up? Do you just have that much money to spend on some of this stuff. I apologize in advance to the mods if this is posted in the wrong forum but I posted it here because I've priced alot ofbow equipment and it's extremely expensive.

I guess I should have posted what I do for a living. I've been a practicing attorney for about 3 years now. I make enough to get by on and toget a few hunting items every year. Maybe later I'll start looking at some of those big ticket items (i.e. the weeklong hunting trips, the matthews and bowtechs,) but for now the pocketbook (and the wife) won't allow itIt's nice to see the the passion that many of us have for the sport though.

Johnny, Its all about priorities. You just need to put hunting closer to the top of your list. Most people on here are middle class blue collar

I thought Imade a decent living, no kids, no crazy mortage, don't spend money uselessly and I have no idea how all these guys spend the money they do on hunting stuff. Don't get me wrong, that's where the majority of mine goes, but it seems like I spend 1/10 of what many of these guys drop.

well i tell ya what ., i have for years had nothing but cheap! but the older i got and the older the kids got, the easer it is to say hey, im goin to buy a new bow next year., and i will save for that ., i am probly below themiddle class, but what do i love to do .,HUNT!! so all "my" money goes for hunting in one way or another(i do have a savings account just for me and my hunting stuff) so it does not hurt the family checking or savings account, and no, i cant not just go out and buy ! i have to save for what i want ., im 45 and i wish i lived with mommy!! lol that was a good one.,
