My local shop doesn't carry Bowtech but there is a dealer about 20 miles away. I went to the shop about a year ago right after they opened and the guy didn't know much about bows (to say the least). So I made it down a couple of weeks ago and they have hired a new tech and the guy is pretty sharp. Well we hit it off pretty good while I was down there buying my wifes Lady Hawk. So I went back yesterday to get and RA # and send the limbs back to swap them out and he had just gotten the Liberty and the Justice in. The tech said "lets go try them out, I will let you be the first one to shoot them", so I said well how can I resist
So we slap a rest on both bows and head upstairs to shoot. I finger drew both bows and honestly couldn't see what everyone was so exited about. They honestly didn't feel any smoother than my 02 Patriot. Then we got upstairs and hooked the release on and I was blown away................ The Liberty is soooooo silky smooth it's almost disgusting
I was impressed with both bows. Both were bare bows and these were two of the quietest, smootest, least vibration and recoil prducing bows that I have ever shot. The kicker to me was that the Liberty was even smoother and had less recoil than the Justice, which is to say that it had absolutely none[:-] The Justice had next to none and was amazing in it's own right. Needless to say, I am extremely impressed with both bows. I can't afford a new bow but if I were in the market, the Liberty would with out a doubt be the next bow in the stable. VERY IMPRESSIVE BOWS INDEED!

Silentassasin,
I agree! I shot the Liberty with a Patriot S/C.
Both bows shot very nice and the Liberty was a little slower but a real treat to shoot. I don't think I could go wrong with either.

Hmm..had you had your Patriot there and drawn them back to back SA you might have noticed a bigger difference using one's fingers.
My 70 lb 2002 Pat SC feels like a mack truck compared to the Liberty regardless of what I'm pulling it back with. That 2002 I-cam really hits peak late. They've solved that problem though on the 2004 I-cam. Much nicer back end on the draw cycle.
Like I said..if you don't want a Liberty, don't shoot one, cause if you do shoot it, it's hook, line and sinker...

Surprisingly, I have yet to wrap my hands around a Liberty's riser but I am sure that some of the local shops have them in stock at this point. I may have to head down this weekend to "feel a few out"...
...without the Cabelas Visa ofcourse, otherwise the wife would absolutely kill me...

I was calling around looking for a new Mighty Mite. I decided to stop in a shop I frequent that had a Liberty. I have never been able to shoot 70# bows because of my back. I tried the Liberty just for kicks and, walked out with it. I was shooting it yesterday after setting it up. My back feels fine this morning and the x ring on the target is dead. I added only an unknown stabilizer to hold my sling on. They are going to kill the accessories market with this bow. A bolt would hold the sling on, and be as effective at reducing vibration as the stab, IMO, as there is none.
