mobow,
you know what, once this weather gets better i will test that out. i can always fine tune it to match how high or low i want to aim. its just when i was completety sastisfied with the groupings thats how i had to aim to get the arrow in the lungs.
i dont aim for the heart, i aim for the lungs.

No complaints here. I've been shooting a one pin sight since I started bowhunting. I love eliminating the guess work of which pin to use in the heat of the moment.

I used a one pin up until this last year, and now I'm considering going back to one. I'm using a 4 pin TruGlo right now and there is definitely something to be said for keeping it simple.

the only thing i see is that if you shoot in 3-d shoots, if you have an adjustible sight then you have to shoot in the open class. at least that is what ive been told so that DMS! you know how things are

I too, shoot a single pin. When I started bowhunting a few years ago I shot a 3-pin but found that during low light conditions and sometimes not even that, the clutter was less than I needed to get the job done.

MO Hoyt....if you would sight that pin in @ 25 yards, you could just hold dead on. I was 1" high at 20 and 1" low at 30....Don't get much better than that.
While I'll agree, 25 or so is a good place to set a single pin, I find that with my set-up, I'm dealing with more like 3-4" low when shooting 30yds, withmy 24yd pin. Part of why I personally like a 3 - 5 pin set-up, with pin setting of 24 - 32 - 40 yds or somethingsimilar. A small misjudgement indistance doesn't make as big of a differencewith the pins that close.

I Agree!! My HHA Optimizer Ultra has a sight tape on a geared wheel that moves quickly and effortlessly and is accurate to the yard. Also with 10 feet of fiber optic and the adjustable pin guard you are good for any lighting condition.

I refuse to talk negative about single pins...they give you percision shots not having to compensate...you slide the rail into position to whatever the shot is....with a range finder in hand ....I find a single pin the only way of life for me.....
