Just go to a mechanical head ;)

Serisouly though, with bows getting faster, and fletchings getting smaller, it's tough to get huge fixed blades to fly. I know FOBS fly great, and a Blazer vane does as well. Like I said in my Rage post, I'll be using Rage's for a LONG LONG LONG time, I feel like they COULD be the best head on the market, as far as damage goes. However, if I get drawn for Iowa, I'll be using Slick Tricks. I'll also keep some slick tricks in my quiver just for comparison purposes.

If I can get a 1.5" cut from a fixed blade why would I want a mechanical? A 1.5" three blade has more cutting surface than a Rage 2 blade, and it's always open. I shoot less than 270 fps.

I don't think you guys really understand just how good these FOBs work. I've shotSpitfires with the BLADES OPEN and it flies just like a field point. With regular fletching, you couldn't do that. I've shot some of the worst 3 blade broadheads I can find (like Eastman Sabre 125 grains with bent ferrules) and the results are the same as field points.

I'm thinking about going to a 185 grain Magnus Snuffer. That has a 1.5" cutting diameter and my FOC would be 14.24%. I'd get 250 fps and 82 ft - lbs KE. And my arrows would spine PERFECTLY.

haha i would never buy that.

edit: never mind from the reviews they dont sound half bad..

The Magnus Snuffer 150 grain (1 5/16") and the Striker Magnum (1.5") appear to be the only choices. The new Slick Trick Grizztrick (1 1/4") looks good, but I want an even bigger cut!
Do you have any idea when those may be hitting the market there buddy? Id really like to invest in a set of those new Strikers.

Thanks
Ryan.

Not sure when the Striker Magnums will be available. On AT a G5 person said early March. Here's a pic of the Magnum next to the original Striker...
