I'm no 3D guy I've never shot one single round. That being said, I have read Matts post about it and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but with 5 pins that sight would be illegal for 3D... right? I imaging you could just take a pin out, but on my New Cooper John 6 pin sight I don't think it's as easy as it sounds.
Yes, you need 4 pins to shoot any IBO sanctioned event, but most local stuff isn't enforcing those types of rules. Also, it's easy to take a pin outta the Sword. If you need help getting the pins out of that CJ, let me know, I've done it a time or two. It is a PITA, but it can be done.

Thanks RJ ..I put it on to try it it and I like it alot. But I put the 1 pin back on to finish indoor season. Bought the CJ for hunting.

Unless our pal Buckeye talks me into going to shoot 3d.... [:-]

GR8, I sure am glad you pointed this out....I was unaware......that's nice....If I go beyond the local stuff (which I hope to do this year) I will have to remove a pin.....marvelous.

Sorry I overlooked this, mobow... very nicely done indeed!!

Best wishes to you as you start shooting more 3d; we'll definitely have to hook up for a few shoots as this will be my first year of trying to catch all the local shoots here in Southeast Missouri. I'm really interested in some shoots held by the Saline Valley Christian Bowhunters, which look to be held somewhere between Ste. Gen and Perryville. They're on Saturdays too, which is nice. Let me know if you want to hook up for some of them.

That is only in the hunting class.

C. SIGHTS, OVERDRAWS, UNUSUAL EQUIPMENT, ETC.
[ol][*]Overdraws are permitted in all classes except TRD, YTRD, FTRD, LB, RU,[*]There is no limit to the amount of pins on a sight with the exception of sights used in the Hunter classes, which are limited to four pins.[*]A sight used in a fixed pin class may not be adjusted once the archer enters the shooting course.[*]Sights that project a laser light or other aiming dot on the target are illegal in all classes.[*]An archer using new or unusual equipment not addressed by class definitions or elsewhere in these rules, will be required to shoot in one of the open classes until the IBO Board of Directors makes a ruling on the proper class for the equipment.[*]A verifier or clarifier style peep sight will be allowed in all classes that permit the use of sights [/ol]
