Thanks BigJ , I'm gonna go with the tube type for now . I have limited experience with bow setting and tuning and i'm not getting into serious competitions , just field , 3D and fun .

Iwill post my review on the Loc-a-peep , when i have fiited it and tried it out .

The only time I have had a peep move is when the string is going bad. Once i get it lined up it never changes weather has no effect on it's rotation. I use a true-peep no problems lining it up and it stays that way.

I put a G5 Meta peep on my Guardian when I got it last year, about 2 weeks later I adjusted it a little. This seaon I hunted 80+ degree weather, below zero in NE., rain in IL., snow in NE. I never had to touch my Peep again, and it never failed to line up. I guess I really am lucky

Actually I have used that type of peep for years and that is normal. No dry rottin, breakin, power robbin tube for me ever again.[8D]

Guys, I'm glad your peeps are staying in place, most of the time they do. Hey I'm not pulling this information out of thin air, just ask any string maker (Gibblet) if this happens..

The string material (just like pretty much anything)will contract and expand with climate and pressure changes...pretty basic science guys.

Of course, ifone can't figure out that your supposed to change itoften or how to install it properly, perhaps a tubeless peep is best for some folks.

I don't doubt a word of what your writing. You are right on. To each his own, your tube doesn't effect my shooting and me not having one doesn't effect yours. Mine works perfect, yours works perfect. Keep up the great work.

That's pretty much what it comes down to, personal preference. I have no trouble with my peep coming around shooting for years in vast amounts of climates, BigJ likes that added security. I don't blame him one bit.

I agree Rob, and I suspect you, or most will probably never ever experience a misaligned peep (I trulyhope not) at the moment of truth....I just can't seem to get that "what if" voice outta my head.

And that's not a bad thing.

Reminds me of one of the first videos Drury's came out with. He wasn't using a peep. He drew on a dandy buck, peep didn't come around, he let down, drew again, nope, again, nope, he was trying to turn it with is nose, nope, buck spooked. It was hilarious.l

I hope too it never happens. I'll throw my bow at him. SO far, so good.

I had a friend hunting with me down in Missouri once. He stalk up within 30 yards of about 40 turkey drawed his bow back and the rubber on his peep snapped him on the forehead. Needles to say he couldn't see through his peep, but he shot any way and missed all 40 of them. He has never use the rubber band peep again. Once I was at a 3D shoot and a friend rubber broke. He could see through the peep so he keep shooting. His 30 yard pin was about 6 inch high and 40 was higher. I told him that there would be a big difference. He went home and into his pro shop Shot in over a chronograph than put a new rubber on. He lost 15 fps with the rubber. He got on the phone right away and called me to tell me that I was right about the rubber and how it sucked. Now he doesn't use one any more. I never like them because they always brake at a bad time for me and some time shade the peep hole if the light is just right. To each there own if you like them than use one. I'm just talking about some of the things I have seen happen with them.

Well fella's , i've had both sides of the story and seeing as i've tried the tubeless type and had problems ... it cannot hurt to try the tubed peep out .
With an Elk hunt this year lookin very possible , i need a set-up i can really rely onand not have to worry about ( i always worry things are'nt spot on ) . I want to know that when and if i do get the chance to draw my bow on my prize , its going toas clear a shot as possible. Otherwise i won't be able to post my picture on the forums with my big smile and 1 elk tag filled .
