By analyzing the photos, I have been able to determine that the broken tree came from a hunter beating his head against it after he missed the bruiser who made that rub. But what a rub it is!

I wonder if he knocked the other tree over.[&:]
That is the biggest Rub I have seen by a whitetail. Good thing no one shot him as a 1.5 for the meat

I think it was created with a file and a rake by some local with a sick sense of humor! Now in all seriousness when can I come out there to hunt?LOL

OK, you guys talked me into it. I went out there tonight after work andmoved my trail camera. It is now pointed directly at that rub and the trail behind it. We'll see who shows up.

John, not to break your heart or anything... , but I've got one just like that in a fencerow on the farm I've hunted for years. While it may indeed have been made by one large buck, the one on "my" property is a "community rub"... It gets hit by every buck that crosses through cutting from one field to another, and it's just widened and widened out over the years. It looks to be almost the same size as that one.

Hope I'm wrong, and it's one heckuva bruiser for you... or maybe two, or three...

Just food for thought.
