Namely, the technology to build a 5.5 gpi arrow, built to handle big-game hunting at +/- .001 straightness, that is stiffer than any other arrow on the market, thus eliminating energy loss due to shaftflexion upon release.Even at mind-warping speeds.
I also fail to see how this qualifies as 'bow' technology, which is what the rest of us have been talking about. Looks like arrow technology to me.

Good point...

I remember Kevinshot a 225ish grain arrow through a 2003 Extreme VFT at theATA Show and it shot 425 fps. Obviously the arrow wasn't spined right and it would have voided thewarranty on the bow...

Just to add a quick point, the optional camo patterns have been shipping since Nov and there are plenty of them out there. Do a search on AT and you'll find a bunch of them.
That isn't the answer my dealer got when he called and asked.......the time frames I posted is what he was told.

You guys are making this out to be like I have something against Bowtech..........I still shoot a Patriot and they are my #1 choice for bows.

2-8 weeks for stock bow and no guess would even be made on specialty camo options. That's what I was told when he hung up the phone..........standing at the counter with $1,000 in hand.

Do they ship to different parts of the country slower maybe??

I meant right now...........2008........what exactly about the 2008 line makes you think they are the leader in technology?
It's simple, really: the fact that other companies haven't caught up with their 2007 technology makes them the leader in technology still in 2008, and they didn't even have to bring anything new to the table.

And, trust me... I know you're going to quote the "and they didn't even have to bring anything new to the table" line. But the question was who has the best technology -- and it's a runaway consensus within the industry that Bowtech does, and I'm not talking about gaining agreement from a few posters on message boards. I could tell you stories about how respected their cutting-edge designs areby the other manufacturers themselves, but they're not for this forum. Don't even ask.

Again greg............don't make it out like I am bashingBowtech......I mentioned a TON of other companies that fizzled thisyear as well.

Funny howsome guys only get upset when one name gets mentioned though........reminds of the crowd thatused to hang out at the shops in theirblack and gold satin jackets and matching hats.

I loveand still shoot a Bowtech...........but I agree with you that they haven't brought anything new to the table this year. They still have great bows.............just nothing exciting in the 2008 lineupfor someone who already shoots a Bowtech.

Is that so bad to admit??

IN Atlas's defense....(hey there's one ya didn't expect, huh?).....I originally ordered my 82nd in "treestand". I heard through the Bowtech grapevine that this camo was NOT going to be available any time soon.....and that was 30 days ago or more. I still don't think this camo pattern is available.

But we have the bows in our shop, now. Bowtech Mods???? I don't have a clue.
