Again, since nobody is listening. BIG BUCKS live in some areas and not others. That is a fact!!!! Smart hunters do all they can to hunt those areas if possible!!! GMATT does not have access to areas where big bucks live, simply put. GregH, Myself and others do, I have not been as good as Gregh has at killing those big bucks, GMATT has not even had the chance at a big one b/c they don't live there!! Greg knows and all of us know that location is the key, and skill with a little luck is what helps close the deal on big bucks. Why would anyone hunt big bucks that don't exist. You can't make it happen if the genes and nutrition are not there!!! Gregh is smart and skillful enough to capitalize on his opprotunity to kill big bucks on the property that he hunts, hat is off to him, however, my hat is off to lots of guys on here that don't have the chance to harvest big bucks, but still do the best they can for their property!!!

I don't know GregH from adam, but if Im not mistaken, the man has arrowed two deer that grossed over B&C...Is this correct?

I don't care where you live, there are very, very, very, very few hunters who can say the same..... That deserves respect.

Yes he's got an excellent area to hunt, so what if he does! I guarantee he didn't learn how to hunt them over night. No one does that! It takes time and when something all of a sudden clicks and starts working, you run with it! I learned something new this year bow hunting these big guys. I can tell you this much that next year I'm going to try it again, I'm going to bet it's going to work again too! Its all about learning and trying new stuff too, not just location all the time. Greg deserves the utmost respect. He's sure got mine!

Where's the disrespect? Who disrespected him?

Go back and read Atlas's initial post. If that is disrespectful......then I'm not seeing it.

HOW is saying that certain areas of the country hold more big deer......(and deducing from that....that it's more likely for ANY hunter to kill one of those deer)......"disrespectful"?

Agreed.

One thing I don't understand is how people can say they don't have huge deer (P and Y/ B and C) on "THEIR" property because "THEY" are not in a "BIG BUCK" state. I can bet that anyone claiming they have no big deer, lets even say 100+, have not seen every SINGLE deer on their hunting property. They are assuming. Sure maybethere are more depending on "location". Last time I checked there were P and Y's taken in every state that whitetail deer are.Go FIND them, or at least make SURE. It's friggin hunting.Hard work pays of is a cliche, but it's true. Big bucks don't come easy, but you guys know that, right?

WHY does this have to (when we discuss "location") always get into a "It depends on how hard you're hunting"....and "It still takes a lot of hard work and dedication" rant. No one is saying it doesn't.

Let that 100 incher walk and he just might come back next season a 120. Until your disiplened enough to let nice deer walk your never going to truly know what your area could yield. Sure location matters, get your damn topo out and find a new one.

Chris I have a lot of respect for you as a friend....but I still think plenty of people are reading WAY too much into this. No ruffled feathers were intended.

I'm not complaining about where I hunt....nor was anyone else who posted about "location".

Atlas (and I, earlier) simply made a statement on big deer density. Nothing more.

I'm going to exit. If I offended....it was not intentional.
