I love the thrill and the challenge. It is a time of relaxation, but that can all change to adrenaline if you see a big buck. It is just amazing to me. Sitting in the woods, listening to nothing but the birds and the bees. Smelling what REAL fresh air (not the stuff that is bottled up and sold in stores). Seeing wild animals that don't know you are there. It is just the greatest feeling alive.

P.S. Only Chuck Adams can sit at home and see deer so get into the woods. =;^)

I love the peice and quiet, the challenge of hunting deer on their own terms, with other hunters disturbing them, and having to get real close to make the shot. In my opinon bowhunting is real hunting, gun hunting( wich I still do) is more shooting. Nothing wrong at all with the gun, but I just don't get the same enjoyment.

Well to be totally honest I started bowhunting because I got a felony when I was a kid and it has me hooked now. I will be able to own a gun again in a few more years but I am not sure if I will even mess with 'em(guns).

I bowhunt because it fulfills an ageless desire to hunt and kill game to feed the people. The bow has been in our ancestors hands for so long that it is as natural for me to loose an arrow and kill a deer as it is for the deer to die.

hmm where to start. I like shooting, meeting and other archerys/bowhunters (we definatly are a different breed!). I like the dawn-dusk and seeing the critters in the wild interacting with the world around them where ever that maybe. Getting close, sometimes to close. Learning more about game becuase of this closeness needed. Building arras and the silent but audible 'scream-hiss' of my arras as they fly down range. The flight of my arrow as it arcs across an open field. The challenges of staying simple but yet ever so complex in a day where fast pace and cash makes th world go round!

Because I must. Frosty mornings, the smell of fall leaves, bugger hanging from your nose, heart rush, twack, tasty treats. It keeps me coming back for more.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I really like being out in the woods and hunting with my bow. Getting close to the animals and seeing how they interact with each other is exciting. Bowhunting is a lot more challenging than gun hunting and I actually enjoy shooting my bow more than a gun now. Plus the season is longer and you get to spend more time with nature.
