(1) I see more deer than in gun season
(2) The deer are acting normal
(3) I get to learn more about deer behavior
(4) I get to test my hunting skills
(5) There is few hunters in the woods
(6) It gets me in the woods earlier
(7) I get to see bucks I may not get to see later in the season
I could go on and on as to why I bow hunt.

Because it provides a common interest that my brother and I can enjoy together. We are both adults now and we have never really had much in common and this is a way for us to get together and have fun. Family is family.

I hunt so I can be in the woods with all of natures creations. I could not imagine my life without hunting. Just to be there to witness the seasons, the trees, the animals. When I was alot younger, the kill was more important than the rest. Now that I am older, that is only a small part of it. Just seeing wild game, undisturbed, it their natural environment is by far the biggest part of it all!

A true bowhunter is the ultimate human hunter (far exceeding our gun hunting counterparts) there is something about being so cloose to such wary animals that cant be found anywhere else. Not to mention the fact that as long as I have been hunting I have never heard a bowshot ring out through the woods, quiet means a lot to me........hill

Quite time just me & mother nature.
More of a challange than gun.

Hunting is nature.
It is our nature to hunt.
I'm not a hunting fanatic just a hunting addict.

I started out bow hunting to expand my hunting season.Once I got hooked I found out like most others I liked the challange, peace and quiet, deer undisturbed.I even got use to the frustration that goes with it.

Why? Because I love being outdoors, I love observing the wildlife, bowhunting is something I do for relaxation, its a part of me, and part of my soul. Sometimes its hard. I go bowhunting under conditions that I normally would not do any other outdoor activity. Sometimes its harder than work.....I might walk a mile carrying 20 lbs. on my back and loose wet soil under my boots. I sit until darkness for hours waiting for a moment that may not come, waiting for even a glimpse of the beautiful animal that I am after. But its worth every drop of sweat on a warm day, every bit of damp coldness that may creep into my body, sitting still for hours and not always being comfortable. Its worth every second.
