Michigan is good hunting, but not so much lower michigan. Most big bucks i see are from the upper pennisula. But i do see a big buck from lower michigan sometimes. Just depends on the area. You will enjoy michigan, like its been said there is a lot of state land.

There are some big old bucks in that area, but not alot of public hunting land.
You might want to hook up with Germ on his offer when you all get settled in.
