Just curious, what do you guys do with your bows as you're climbing the tree? Thanks for your time! Simp

My bow is usually tied to a hoist/rope which is slipped into one of my cargo pockets. A long length of rope is unrolled prior to beginning the climb. As I get situated I then pull the bow up to the treestand.

I believe that is the way most folks do it.

Lean it against the tree and when I get where I want to be, I pull it up with a rope.

I think this is the safest way for not only climbers but also ladder stands and hang-ons. I know for me climbing with one hand even on a ladder is not always easy, especially with dew on the steps. Just my opinion.

Pull it up after is certainly the only safe way to go.

I keep throwing it up in the tree until it snags, then I climb up to it.. is that wrong??

I can't believe this is a question.

Get a rope. Tie one end to your bow, tie the other end to your climber. I hope the rest is self-explanatory.

Why not??? This forum is a learning tool. A simple use a rope would of been sufficient!

The hoist rope is the easiest and SAFEST way to pull your Bow/Gun up once your all set up and ready to go! Me its the first thing I pull up and the last thing I lower in. Too many times my bow was on the ground and had deer walking by, so I lower last and hoist it first! Good luck!
