I proccess my own all the way to grinding the burger with a hand grinder.Try grinding 70 lbs of burger by hand. If you are one of those that proccesses thier own but still uses an electric grinder, or (choke) actually takes it somewhere to be ground, then I am obviously superior to you.

I take pride in the fact that I have processed and had processed my bowkills. I am a processor, first....but will have it done, also. I was raised as aprocessor. God willing I will always be a processor. I will not put myself in a sub group or category. I am not interested in being part of a club or fraternity if you will, within theprocessing community. Simply being a part of theprocessing community is good enough for me.

Iself process because I AM A PROCESSOR. The season comes in early and i can have more time in the stand, plus the deer are easier to pattern early in the season.

Ihave mine processed because I AM A processor. The rut activity is increased and it's a blast. It's a tradition where I come from.

How about taking pride in being aprocessor and stop knocking on othermethods of processing.

(Funny, huh?)

That's pretty funny Jeff. Although the my post that you are referring to was not directed at you, you obvisously felt like it was for some reason. Didn't you take a big enough beating yesterday? [:-]

I'm just glad you saw the (intended) humor in it. That's all it was.

No. I must be a glutton for punishment.

You're an elitest processor, its getting old listening to you tell us how great a processor you are. I get on here and think "great I gotta listen to Jeff talk about how his way of processing is the only way." [8D]

Oh yeah, I process all my own game and wouldn't have it any other way.

I've always processed my own. As for how long it takes. I guess if you added up the field dressing, skinning and then cutting wrapping etc. I'm sure I have 2 hrs. in a deer. My last year in Montana I had to shoot (yea!) a bull elk, mulie buck, 505# black bear. Process the meat which included canning most for a trip back to PA. And then do a buddies bull elk all within 5 days. That was a lot of meat processing!

What is that? An electric Grinder? C'mon! That's not processing. I'd rather floss my neighbors cat's teeth than use an electric grinder!
