I had my knee scoped in 2003 during turkey season. I rested for two days then hit the woods. The swelling never went down messed up the circulation in my leg ended up getting blod clots in my leg and did not know it. The clots started to break up and were getting lodged in my lungs. To make a long story short passed out on softball field got life flighted to pittsburgh and layed there two weeks on blood thinning meds to break up the clots in my lungs. Everything is good now besides i have Phlebitis ( spelling) in my leg i will have to deal with forever.

I had some pretty major surgery on my knee (and have the six inch scar to prove it) and I was up and moving fine in two weeks. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. You will be back at it in no time.

I also have a torn maniscus since the end of August, and a bone spurr on teh knee cap. But, I have waited till after the season to have surgery. The doctor told me to just make sure I do controlled movements in order to avoid tearing it more. He said as long as I can live with the pain, I can wait till the end of January.

knee surgery is a breeze these days. my grandma had both knees rebuilt and shes doing fine, youll be on your feet again the next day as thats the best thing for your knees after surgery.
I agree, a good hunting/family friend had his knee replaced and was walking on it 2 days later. Within a month he was pretty much back to normal helping me track some Coyotes that I shot! He was pretty surprised on how quick he was back at it!

Don’t stress it. I’ve had three knee surgeries. Cartilage is no big deal. I went in and had all the cartilage removed from my left knee. I couldn’t walk when I went in, had surgery and removed all my articulating cartilage, and walked out that afternoon. That next weekend, I was dragging a deer out of the field. Another time, I had the cartilage removed in my right knee, during college athletics, and in less than two weeks, I was back out on the field competing. I’ve only had one surgery that put me out for a while. It was when I had my right knee reconstructed. It was during my sr. year in college. I had to redshirt my sr. year.

Dont believe them. I had a stick with my second surgery and drove the next day. You just got to be creative.
