No, its called you being totally off-base in terms of offering a rational argument to support your position.
Yeah, like his idea of giving permission to someone you caught trespassing. "I've caught you on my land without permission, carrying a weaponandin the act of committing a felony. That's fine, just make yourself at home."Talk about a lack of common sense.

Well Lanse, BHF, Arthur - Just so we're clear, you fellas are welcome to post the GPS coordinates to your best deer stand, maybe some maps, a printer-friendly written permission slip to your best deer stand at any time...

You know... I think they call it putting your money where your mouth is.
I don't own or need a GPS but if your familiar with Fon Du Lac county, go to County roads S and county roads G. Park along side of the road and climb up the HUGE ridge and there are a few different trees that I hunt out of depending on the winds. You can spot them from a distance from the climber/sticks marks. The deer will come from the west in the late afternoon and from the north in the mornings(off the fields)! Great spot, all are welcome, no lie, even the 10%ers! If anyone is planning on going PM me and I'll meet you there and help you out if needed, maybe even become friends!

For the love of GOD I give up.

I support hunters period[:@]
Ditto.

I think some here do not realize the number of deer we would have to take to keep the herds healthy. And no, more deer do not equal bigger racks. More deer equal crap racks because of all the comp. for food. Dont believe me, visit a State park that does not have a cull season. Sick little deer.

My Dad and two of my sons use guns for hunting and I hunted for many years with a gun -- I'm a Life NRA member who supports gun owners. However, I started using just a bow for hunting deer a few years ago. It's my choice and I don't wish to impose that on anyone else. What we have around my area is a few slob hunters who hunt exclusively with guns and shoot anything that moves in or around any area they happen to be in -- and that includes trespassing to do so. They shoot fawns, as many bucks as they see, they cripple deer that never should have been shot at, ,etc. THOSE guys are the ones who I want to eat tag soup. a good friend of mine farms much of the area around my place and it's his crops that feed a lot of these deer and he only guns hunts. Of course I wish him the best of luck as well as the ethical guys who obey the law. The slobs are what sours me on it.

The sheer numbers of gun hunters means there are gonna be more bad apples. But that works with everything. There are far more people who hunt with modern compound bows than crossbows, traditional recurves, or even primitive style bows. So, it is safe to bet that there are more instances of trespassing, crippled deer, slobhunting, etc. among compound bow hunters.

Well Congratulations BHF - you're officially the first guy in the history of huntingnet who has posted detailed directions totheir owngood stand site. I can honestly say that you're one of the very tiny minority who puts others before himself.

Props to you, man.

Hey PT....I think Fran has a point. "Supporting" all hunters.....and rooting for their success.....are two different things (IMO).

I support anyone hunting around me (or ANYWHERE)....as long as they're legal and ethical. Now.....do I hope the guys doing it legally and ethically all take bucks from the same herd I'm hunting?

Honestly? Nope.

Is this "competition"? Sure. Is this way of thinking "wrong"? I suppose some will see it that way. Around here....I don't "think" there's a "lot" of good bucks to go around (if EVERYONE were successful in taking their limit. I don't wish any ill will on any fellow hunter....but I'd be lying if I said I hoped they all were successful in filling their tags.

Weapon of choice has no bearing in my way of thought, though.
