Seen one 3.5 year old. He walked right under my stand but just wasn't what I was looking for...he was only a 7 point but was about 20" wide. I've been on stand about 20 times.

I saw 2 and killed 1 .... The bigger of the two is still running ..( surprise, surprise) .... the 8 pointer I killed 2 weeksago was aged at 3 1/2 .... I am going after that white racked buck during the 8 day 2nd bow season ....

I saw 8 this year. 5 were on public land, 3 on private land.

All offered shot ops but 3. Each of the 3 that didnt offer an op I would have been all about..... Funny how that works out....

So, 5 shot ops out of 8 bucks. You guys know the story on two of them, the other 3 I did not attempt to shoot.

I am going with 3.5 and older bucks as "mature".

Not all bowhunting....

I have seen what I believe to have been 5 different bucks 3.5 or older this season. One it was too dark to shoot when he was in range. 2 others were in a group of 7 bucks chasing one doe and never got closer than 100 yards. One big 10 pointer came to within 30 yards of my stand, but was on the wrong side of my tree and branches blocked my shot. And I killed this one.

2 but if you want to get technical the one I saw in PA tried to trample me in a cornfield. I fixed his wagon!

The other was the first night on stand in IL but it was right before dark and no shot.
