How many mature bucks?
 

GregH's question got me to thinking.....

How many mature (for the sake of this thread....3.5 and older) bucks have you seen from stand, this year. And....how many have you killed.

I'm 1/1.....and I've sat nearly FIFTY sits.

There's one I'm just not sure about.....I think he was 3 1/2, but hey may have only been 2 1/2......

So I'm either 1 of 2, or 1 of 1.....

Also....throw in how many you see on an annual basis (average).

In three years of hunting the land I hunt.....I have seen 2 deer that were 3.5yrs or better. I have killed both of them. I keep thinking I'll see these 2.5yr olds the next year.....and it's not working out.....lol. I saw a 2.5 yr old in '05 that I did see as a 3.5 yr old in '06.....and saw him as a 4.5 yr old this year.....and brought him home.

But.....total.....I've seen TWO bucks in 3 seasons that were 3.5 or older.

0/0, heck, I only saw one buck that I would say was 3.5 years old while scouting my prime hunting area before season (and even he was right on the property line near some posted property that is off limits to all hunters).

Usually, I would probably see 4 or 5 different mature bucks from stand each season (usually see them multiple times).

I've seen three, two of which I posted about earlier in the season. Ididn't get one----- yet.;)
