Just spent

RE: Just spent
1. Being in the woods 1.5 hours before light and never feeling more at one with my maker.
2. That moment when I get up my tree.....get dressed.....get my equip. set up.....and sit down to wait for light. THAT moment is awesome...
3. KNOWING I made the right decision on where to sit that particular day.
4. The time lapse between the moment I decide to take a deer and the time I release the arrow.
5. Tracking
6. Backstraps; sausage and cubed venison
7. Hearing deer move underneath me and know that they have NO IDEA I've slipped into their world
8. Hearing a buck grunt
9. Looking down and seeing a deer you never heard come in
10. Watching a friend take a deer that you put him on.

Well most recently was my older brother killing his 1st deer in 25 years of hunting!!!!! When I heard the shots I knew it was him, I just knew it!!!!!! This was over T-day weekend, my 10 year old nephew was with him! Priceless! I also killed my 1st buck 3 days earlier!

Two things rock my world.
1. The ever so familliar smell of fall, yes, the acorns, dirt, and cut soybeans.
2. The moment just before you recover your deer, those last fewfeet of "good blood" and all of a sudden bam!! There he is!! Shouted by myself or my lifelong hunter partner Team Va. You guys know... your heart is pounding and your eyes are star crossed, the suspense is so great you want it to last, yet, you want to put your hands on him so you can breath.
That's it, that is taking a bite out of life and letting the juices run down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
