Bucks of Tecomonte... what a joke..

Some buddies of mine went to Ohio this season to a "ranch". It was 1000 acres but hardly free range the deer stay in the cover near the feeding stations/food plots. They are so used to people because ofall of thepeople working the ranch they arespooky but not like regular deer. Anyway here is what $14,000 will buy you. They"hunted" less than one full day for these three, one guy was in stand for an 1 1/2 hours and shot the buck in the middle. Not my thingand I can only imagine the BS"hunting" stories that will come out of it but whatever floats your ego, I mean boat. They are not bad guys, they just really wanted to kill a big buck, no matter how.

How is that any different than going to Pike county, IL, or on an outfitted hunt anywhere else in the country?

I went on a guided hunt this year , my guide left me at a water hole , he was miles away when I shot my bull , Im sure he knew there were good animals where he had me sit , thats why I was there , but there are many water holes in the area we hunted and open range in the Missouri river breaks , not a canned hunt IMO . Right next to public land also . I hunted with a man that had been coming to the same outfitter for 11 years , without killing an elk , hes happy to come back , and a good hunter I might add .
Yes there are huge bucks in pike county , my friend killed a 150 class buck in Illinois this year , not pike county , does that make it less of a trophy , I think not . Thats kind of like saying killing a trophy in Canada , or where they grow in the states is not an accomplishment , I believe it is , just that the word "trophy" has different meaning in different parts of this country . Im fro FloriDA , a 90 inch deer is a trophy down here in my eyes .
A canned hunt to me is behind a high fence , on deer that have eaten from a feeder all of their lives . Ive seen some shows where the deer had tags in their ears , guy from Ohio that kills monsters , dont remember the name , hayes maybe .
I did not respond because I wanted to argue , to to show we all have different opinions .

vabowman you are the one that doesnt understand. These people want to kill big bucks and they do. They use money to accomplish their dream of putting a big buck on the wall. You use time, effort, hard work ,practice and dedication. In the end you both get a big buck. However you feel that you have earned itand youcall it anaccomplishment. They call it success.I am fine with people taking deer or any other animal however they want. I myself would rather work for a 140" buck than go pay to kill a 200" buck. Vabowman it is called PRIDE some have it some dont thats why there are bowhunters that live and breathe the challenge and find success in many ways not just killing. I know how you feel but I have learned that people do not understand the amount ofdedicationand respect of the deerit takes to be a true hunter

I agree guided and canned are two different things in alaska and canada you cant go hunitng without a guide. If I can hunt without a guid I would prefer to do so the trophy means more to me

All this talk is kind of getting old. You dont have to watch it and their doing what they want to do....if you dont like how they do it go out and hunt with a bow on your own hunting grounds like i do. If some of you guys are all against it then why are you watching? The more you watch it the more they get payed and that leads to more shows like it.
