We went to visit my son and his family for Thanksgiving. My son and I spent about two and a half hours Friday shooting my new 2007 Hoyt Vectrix XL and with him making adjustments so the old man could draw it, hold it steady without shaking like a leaf in a 45 mph wind, and adjusting the sight.
The Vectrix XL is everything I've read it to be, hoped it to be, and then some. It is very smooth drawing, very quiet and quite quick for a 55#ish bow shooting a 411 gr arrow. I might have to take a look at going to a bit lighter arrow, but I'm shooting it pretty well out to 30 yards as it is with the top two pins on my Copper John DN2 Supreme sight. The .019" fiber optics are very bright and being as small as they are they are much easier for me to shoot than the .029" fiber optics I've shot in the past. And the string and cable set Jeff built and installed on my bow is top shelf quality!!
Great Bow! Great job by Jeff!!

I own a Vectrix, and I couldn't be any happier w/ it. Fast, smooth, quiet and forgiving. Not sure what more a guy could ask for.
I'm excited to shoot the '08 Vectrix Plus.....Just may be getting one of those this year.

I got the cam and 1/2 plus, and the XL has a 7.5 brace height so It has the stability I was looking for, not the quickest bow in the world but it fits me well and I have had no issues with it
It is also 36 inch axle to axle which is key for me do not like some of the shorter ata bows nowdays

The 2007 Vectrix is, overall, the best new bow I shot this year. Fits me like a glove, very smooth draw cycle, real joy to shoot. But for a couple hundred dollars less, the Reflex Growler is so close to the Vectrix that I couldn't justify the expense for what is, for me, essentially a back up bow.

I've found my Vectrix XL to be very smooth to draw and shoot, too. I just have to get my muscles built up to drawing through the draw force curve at 59# or so. I've been shooting 48# longbows and recurves prior to selling them and buying the Vectrix XL. There's a world of difference in the energy under the draw force curve for the XL versus my longbows and recurves.

I'm shooting a Vectrix XL. Mine has been the fastest XL, that has went out of the shop. I got the 60# limbs, and right now she's set up for target, and I've yet to lose with it. *knock on wood.* But the real shoots have yet to start, just me, my shop owner, and a few others have been shooting lately.
