Yes! as a matter of fact already have 2 listed. 131 7/8 and 153 5/8.
The P&Y Club is not just about getting your name in the books, or even honoring the deer. In fact you don't have to kill a record book buck to become a member. They do a great deal of lobying to help preserve our right, to not only bowhunt, but hunting in general. Without organizations like P&Y, B&C, SCI and all of the others, we may not be doing what we all enjoy, hunting. Not pointing any fingers at anyone, but maybe we shouldn't be quick to discredit those organizations that are helping to protect our hunting heritage. Instead we should be joining with them in the fight against the anti's, and those politicians that side with the anti's. The P&Y Club is like any club I've ever been a member of, it has rules. If you don't like them you have two choices, either leave the club or become an active member and vote to change what it is you don't like.

NO! I have killed a few and I doubt I ever enter any of them. Like David mill, if it was some kind of record I would enter it!

<BLOCKQUOTE id=quotequote:
bowfanatic,if you shot the worlds biggest buck and didn't enter it it would be considered a fake.ask rompola.but thats a whole other story

No, if you called the press, your friends, and everyone else that would listen making claims that you had killed the World Record Whitetail and then you wouldn't enter the deer you might be considered a fake. If you had entered ever other scorable deer that you had ever SPOTLIGHTED into the records and then refused to enter the "New World Record" you might be considered a fake. If you were trying to pass off a buck that had obvious eveidence of "antler stain", droopy ears like a mule deer on Xanax, and horns sticking out the side of the head then you might be considered a fake! If you had several other Game Violations you might be considered a fake! Add all that up and not only are you a fake but a WORLD CLASS LOSER!

Wow ! This topic has surprised me !! I have only been bowhunting for 4 years and took a P&Y my second year when I lived in Alabama . There are not many record book deer taken by bow down there , so I sure felt/feel like I made an accomplishment!!
What does it hurt by entering it if you can ?

I doubt if i would. registerin an animal in a book, just don't
mean that much to me.

besides, I'd have to P&Y legal my bow first

Yes. I would enter an animal. The stats P&Y keeps on the animals are more important than any problems I might have with cheaters, or alleged cheaters, sneaking an animal into the book. I still respect P&Y and think the club is just as important to the welfare of bowhunting today as it was the day it was founded.

CBM SC,

I don't think it hurts anything. If that's what you want to do then go for it. I just don't feel like having them scored is what I want to do. I know what they score and I am the only person that needs to know. I guess I have a reclusive nature. I rarely have picutres taken of my bucks (until I got married ans she takes pictures of everything) and have given the horns away from some of the nicer deer that I have killed. To me it's all about the hunt and all about the challenge not about the bragging rights or the trophy.
