I've learned that I need to find a different place to hunt. Possibly a different State cause this Jersey place stinks.

I've learned that while we sometimes don't want it to.....things change in lifeand we are left to forage on without loved ones because "life" must go on. All to many of us here have had to deal with such obstacles this year. Butas Motown put it, thereIS healing in hunting and experiencing the beauty of God's great creation, this I have learned.

Thanks Chris.....

1. Biggest thing I think I've learned is proper stand placement. Of course, by first screwing up first.

2. Learn from your mistakes, in general.

I've learned toNEVERread the post that are titled "Early Rut" again.

I've learned that the lunar phase is worthless except when it comes to bass fishing.

I finally figured out this year that a tree looks alot farther from a trail in the dark than when it gets light outside. Last year I finally figured out how to find deer consistantly, but always setup too close to them. This year all my shot-ops were 20-30 yards, which is perfect because I always had a single-pin set a 25-yards.

I also learned that if I can get to full-draw on a deer, I'd get the shot I wanted. Last year I learned when to draw and not to draw too early. I think I'm getting this bowhunting-thing figured out!

Now watch; since I said that, something's going to go horribly wrong.

Crap....

I learned that my 15 year old son knows everything about deer hunting and I could never reach his level of knowledge or experience.) Things like " Dad I am not seeing any good bucks from my primary stand". So Dad says " you picked the spot not me, I told you to setup elsewhere". LoL, really though........I learned once again hunting with kids is fun as heck. Watching them grow and enjoy the outdoors is great to see.
