If you have ANY info or opinions on the Hoyt Vulcan, I need them quick. I supposed to pick one up on Friday. It's not too late to change to another bow, so I could use some reviews.

I would tell you to go find a dealer that has on an shoot it, and soon. I did not shoot a Vulcan, but I shot the Vectrix XL, and didn't personally care for it that much. I like the 2006Trykon XL better, and picked on up used about a month ago. The best way to find the right bow for you is to go shoot as many as you can get your hands on. I've heard guys say it is surprisingly forgiving for a low Braceheight ( 6" if I remember correctly) bow. But I think each person's opinion of how a bow shoots varies just a little. My personal thoughts though are that I would never put $500-700 into a bow that I wasn't for sure if I'd even like. Good Luck!!!

I haven't shot it yet. But, in saying that, I am now shooting a Pearson Spoiler ZX that sounds like a 4/10 shotgun (lol). I have shot a few of the newer hoyt bows and I really like them. And I'm getting it for 50% off the sticker price, so I really can't pass on it. But they asloe have some other Hoyt's that are 50% off.

Don't like the company. I don't like carrying around a boat anchor either. You should try one of the new Dartons. Try and find someone whohas anything to say but glowing remarks about a Darton. You'll be hard pressed.

I don't mind the opinion on Darton bows, to each his own. But I'm looking for a top of the line bow and so Iwill be purchasing a Hoyt this week, because they will be marked down 50%. I was going to purchase a Hoyt next year regaurdless and this opportunity presented itself. Just wanting the pro's and con's of the Vulcan vs. the Vectrix xt or something. I don't recall seeing anyone unhappy with their Hoyt either and they are at the top of the archery world right now. So I'm sure that they are quality bows.
