Default Calls

I was wondering what is the best way to use the bleat can. Is it a long call or should I only let it go a little. I have NEVER heard a doe bleat or a buck grunt so I don't know how to use them.
Also I was at a place setting up another stand 4 days ago and I had 6 deer go by. First three were running one went withing 10 feet. I almost took a shot but she was hauling ass. 4th one stomped at me, 5th and 6th were bucks who never got into the right lane. Drew and waited just not quite there. Anyway since then notta zip zilch. How long does scent stick around? granted had a bad day yesterday. Not one thing worked right and made more noise than a train wreck so how long should I stay away.

The longer you stay away the less chance you have to hunt. I would get back out there asap.

Try listening to these sounds first then practice on the call. I let the can play out all the way. Then follow with the grunt.
