What horrible comments are they making? I've been out of the loop. (actually, I'm hardly ever in it!)
Their campaign against the crossbow the last year or two has really bothered me because in my eyes it shows that they are not for protecting hunting, just their idea of hunting. They have become very much an elitist organization. Secondly, the recent comments by the man in charge of their records keeping about how a perfectly typical deer is "superior" to a non-typical deer irks me to no end because I see it as belittling both the animal and the hunter. Just another elitist stance IMO.
Yeah, that's kind of weird. I never heard that one before.

I read all 39 entries and the more i read, the morefrustrated i got listening to all the horn measuring, horn shrinking, disapointment in the measurments. I have an 11 point 185lb white tail i shot 4 years ago, mounted and hanging on the wall in the livingroom,i also have shot over the last few years 1 6ptr, 2 4'ptrs, several spikes, an 8ptr i shot last week. I have never had any of them measured nor do i ever want to. I dont ever want my hunting to be a competition, to kill a bigger buck than the last one or bigger than yours. Im as proud as the spikes i killed as i am the 11ptr and the best part is they all put red meat in the freezerto feed my family for the year

Yep, I read the last P&Y Newsletter and thought thatthe comments about the typical deerwere a bit off the wall. If I am lucky enough to take more animals that would qualify for P&Y...Idon't know if Iwill enterthem. I do feel that P&Y does do a lot to support bowhunting though.

If you score a deer you are trophy hunting. Iwould rather see a score for how tender the backstraps are.

Not trying to put anyone down. I just enjoy the hunt and love eating the meat. Never set and standards on deer size. When I grew up that was concidered the wrong thing to do, but nowadays with QDM you see more off it.

Not trying to offend anyone here.
